Military enlistment for women: will everyone go to the front? What Ministry of Defense really implies
On December 17, the order of the Ministry of Defense №313 came into force, which significantly expands the list of professions whose representatives must be registered for military service. Since then, social media has been on fire, phones have been hacked, and feminists have been sarcastically asked if they're finally satisfied.
Rubryka decided to find out what the Ministry of Defense really means, why no one will "take mothers away from their children" and why it's bad with communication.
What is the problem?
Everything explained poorly
This story began in May 2020. It was then that the draft law on changes in the order of military enlistment was registered. On March 30, 2021, deputies unanimously supported it. On October 11, the Ministry of Defense issued an order, and on December 17, it came into force. All this time, officials haven't explained what these changes will mean.
Ukraine is still at war, and talks about a full-scale offensive by Russia aren't subsiding, so the logical step is to expand the list of professions whose representatives are conscripts. But this doesn't mean that they'll all go to serve.
