Metro is ... Kyiv metro is 60 years old

It's difficult to imagine Kyiv without a metro. Red, blue, green branches (and the Troieschyna branch, which legends are passed down from generation to generation, and continued green branch to Vynohradar is a new character of the Kyiv metro myths) are the actual arteries of the city. November 6 this year marks the 60th anniversary of the Kyiv Metro. His peers are Colin Firth, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Tilda Swinton, Sean Penn, Antonio Banderas, Julianne Moore, Hugh Grant. Can you imagine?

Kyiv Metro is still so young. For comparison, Kyiv is over one and a half thousand years, and the city without a metro is, well, just impossible (remember the endless traffic jams or the infamous incident when in 2014 during the Revolution of Dignity, then Acting Mayor Popov stopped the metro, and the city collapsed).
