Ukrainian railway monopoly Ukrzaliznytsia almost doubled grain exports
From March to June this year, the grain cargoes export almost doubled
Ukrzaliznytsia reported it to Rail.insider.
As noted in the publication, from January to June 2022, 9.45 thousand tons of grain cargoes were transported exclusively by railway.
Compared to the same period in 2021, the indicator decreased by 1.683 million tons, or by 15.7%.
However, the export of grain cargoes from March to June of this year almost doubled, from 416 to 805 thousand tons per month, Rail.insider emphasized.
To improve the situation with transportation, UZ takes the following measures:
- analyzes queues from cars in detail;
- brings up wagons that are waiting for a long time to cross the border;
- digitizes border crossings and terminals;
- improves planning and coordination of load plans;
- improves business feedback;
- is considering the formation of the UZ Export Office to coordinate work with exporters.

As Rubryka reported, in June, Ukraine managed to export 2.7 million tons of products of the Agro-Industrial Complex, which is 30% more than in May.
