Ukrainian developers are working on detecting and identifying explosive devices and testing their sensor technologies, the economy ministry reports.

Ukrainian rescuers test the technology, supported by the Progress Charitable Foundation and the MinesEye project, which aims to create a multisensor system for detecting explosive objects.

"Over the year of working on innovations in the field of mine action, we have moved to specific approaches and work in certain areas: sensors, delivery vehicles, software. To ensure that such developments appear systematically, we are working on a unified framework for developers," said Deputy Minister of Economy Ihor Bezkaravaynyi.

The developers are currently working to teach artificial intelligence to analyze photos taken with an orthophoto camera and search for anti-tank mines.

UADamage's development team also uses a magnetometer and an orthophoto camera to survey the territory and scan areas in the infrared spectrum. In the near future, they plan to use ground-penetrating radar additionally.

Over the course of a year, the team has reduced the time it takes to process information from several days to one and plans to increase the speed of information processing to several hours.
