Russia adds Ukraine's intelligence chief and other commanders to "terrorist" list

Russia included Kyrylo Budanov, the chief of Ukraine's military intelligence Kyrylo Budanov, Navy Commander Oleksii Neizhpapa, and Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk on its list of "terrorists and extremists."

Criminal cases have been opened against Budanov in Russia about the creation of a terrorist community, a terrorist act committed by a group of persons, etc.

Russian court also blames him for the 2022 explosion on the Kerch Bridge in occupied Crimea. As reported, on October 8, 2022, a powerful explosion occurred on the bridge, which caused extensive damage to the road and railroad tracks.

In April 2023, Russian authorities put Budanov on the international wanted list and arrested him in absentia.

In December, Russia arrested Budanov again in absentia in a terrorist case for alleged involvement in a hundred drone attacks that took place in Moscow and other regions.

In June 2023, intelligence member Andrii Yusov said that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia had attempted to assassinate the Budanov more than ten times.
