The head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, during a trip to the Vishnevsky military hospital located near Moscow on January 1, said that the Russian Federation would continue to strike Ukraine – at the same time, allegedly, as before, only on military facilities.

Russian media reported that.

"You probably noticed that literally the next day (after the shelling of Belgorod, – ed.) such blows were delivered. And today, in my opinion, they are being delivered. And we will do (this) tomorrow," he emphasized, allegedly talking about strikes on military infrastructure.

Allegedly, according to the president of the Russian Federation, Russians want to intimidate and create insecurity within the country.

"We will increase our strikes; no crime against the civilian population will go unpunished," Putin added.

For reference:

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Defense of Lithuania, Linas Linkevičius, commented on the New Year's speech of the Russian leader Vladimir Putin, where he hardly spoke about the aggression against Ukraine but promised the Russians "never to back down."

"Putin declared on the occasion of the New Year that #Russia will not retreat anywhere. And really – shit ahead, shit in the past, and standing on shit, so no need to move," the former head of the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry wrote on the X social network.

And the adviser-envoy of the US mission to the UN, John Kelly, on Saturday during the meeting of the UN Security Council, said that the Russian dictator Putin should directly tell the Russians what price they are actually paying for the war in Ukraine, as well as what economic prospects await the Russian Federation because of the aggression of the Kremlin regime.

Shelling of Belgorod

On December 30, the Russian mass media began to announce the alleged shelling of the Russian city of Belgorod.

More than 40 buildings and 60 vehicles were reported damaged.

Soon, the special services reported that the Security and Defense Forces launched a missile attack on military facilities in Belgorod. As a result of the unprofessional work of the Russian air defense in Belgorod, the number of dead in the city increased to 22, and 109 people were injured, 25 of them seriously.

In particular, during this attack, Mikhail Konopitsyn, an officer of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, was eliminated. Previously, he fought against Ukraine as a platoon commander of anti-tank missiles.
