Russian army massively shells Kherson city center

On Monday, November 13, around 14:15, the Russian army, using multiple rocket launching systems and artillery, heavily shelled the central part of Kherson, the southern Ukrainian city.

Six people were injured, Rubryka reports, citing the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Among the victims, a 62-year-old woman and a 45-year-old man from Kherson were fatally wounded. Two men were admitted to the surgical department — one with leg injuries, aged 62, and the other, aged 64, with abdominal wounds. A 50-year-old man and a 67-year-old woman were also taken to the hospital. Their conditions are assessed as satisfactory by medical professionals.

The blast area also includes the courtyard of one of the city's hospitals, where three vehicles, including an ambulance, were completely destroyed. Private and multi-story residential buildings and the gas pipeline network suffered damage.

During the day, the Russian army also struck Berislav, the city 70 km away from Kherson. A 70-year-old woman was injured and diagnosed with explosive trauma and leg wounds. Medical assistance is currently being provided to the victim.

Later, it was revealed that another person was affected. On-site assistance was provided to a 49-year-old man who suffered a concussion and explosive trauma.

Information about the injured and the extent of the damage is still being clarified.

Situation in Kherson and the region

Over the past day, the Russian forces carried out 53 shelling attacks on Kherson, firing 279 shells from mortars, artillery, Grad multiple rocket launching systems, tanks, AGS, drones, and aircraft.

"Russian military targeted residential neighborhoods in the region's populated areas," said Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

According to Prokudin, Russian shelling killed one person; another was injured.

At noon on November 13, in the suburbs of Kherson, Russian occupiers shelled a car with civilians, including a baby. The vehicle caught fire, resulting in the death of the girl's grandfather; the mother is in critical condition.
