On November 7, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky decided not to visit Israel as it was allegedly planned initially.

The Times of Israel reported that.

According to the publication, the Ukrainian head of state made such a decision after journalists began to write about his trip to Israel "on November 6 or 7."

Diplomatic sources told journalists that Zelensky's arrival is still expected, but the date has not yet been determined.

"If President Zelensky comes, he will be welcomed with open arms," the publication quoted an unnamed Israeli official.

For reference:

A few weeks back, reports emerged in the media that Zelensky had requested to explore the option of a trip to Israel following the invasion of Israeli land by Hamas militants.

Later, journalists wrote that the head of the Ukrainian state was allegedly refused a visit. This information was denied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba.

Last week, the media reported that Zelensky will probably visit Israel on November 6 or 7. In response to the rumors, the president noted that his visit depends on many things.

It was also reported that President Volodymyr Zelensky gave an interview to the American TV channel NBC News in which he talked about a possible visit to Israel.

"It's hard for me to say. I'm the president of a country at war, and right now it's really hot on the front, so my visit depends on many things, first of all, on what will happen on the battlefield… And secondly, it depends on whether we can liberate Ukrainian citizens from there (from Gaza, – ed.)," he said.

The president added that if his visit to Egypt or Israel would help free Ukrainians, then he is ready to do so.
