Russian troops attacked Ukraine's southern regions on Monday night of November 6 with four different types of missiles — Oniks, Iskander-M, Kh-31P, and Kh-59.

They also used an intensive drone attack to target port infrastructure, Rubryka reports, citing the statements of the Odesa authorities and the South Operational Command.

Odesa strikes

The Russian forces likely used Oniks supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles and Iskander-M ballistic missiles to hit Odesa.

They struck the city center and an industrial building. The blast wave damaged several high-rise residential buildings, a museum in the historic part of the city, classified as a UNESCO heritage.

"A little there, a little here, and we could have lost many of our artifacts and exhibits, which are very famous throughout the world. Fortunately, this did not happen," Odesa Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov said. "In the morning, our district administration will work to prepare documents to help all those affected. The roof of the residential building was damaged, so we will conduct an examination and restore it because we are close to winter. Now the situation is not easy, because the water supply is damaged, and the pressure is quite high. The situation is under control, but we will need such a thorough investigation to ensure everything is fine."

Later, Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, stated that on November 6, the damaged Odesa National Art Museum turned 124 years old.

"It was on the night of November 6 that the Russians 'congratulated' our architectural monument with a rocket that hit nearby," said Kiper. "The walls of the building were damaged, some windows and glass were broken. We are examining the damage to another site in the UNESCO World Heritage Zone."

The attack by the Shahed-131/136 drones was intense, dense, and aimed at the port infrastructure of Odesa. Ukrainian air defense forces downed 15 drones.

There was still a hit to warehouses, unloading special equipment, and vehicles with grain. The fire was promptly extinguished.

Five locals sought medical help with various injuries. They are being treated.

Kherson strike

The Russian forces also directed a Kh-31P anti-radar missile at Kherson, damaging a 5-story residential building. There has been no information about the victims so far.

The Kh-59 cruise missile, launched at the Mykolaiv region, was downed by Ukrainian anti-aircraft defense forces.

On Sunday, the Russians hit an infrastructure facility in Odesa, injuring three people. Later, explosions rang out in Odesa during an air raid on Sunday evening.
