Ukraine refuses Chinese-aided ceasefire until Russian occupiers retreat – top defense official Danilov

Ukraine will not sit at the negotiating table until the Russian troops leave the occupied territories of Ukraine; therefore, a ceasefire mediated by China is impossible.
Oleksii Danilov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with Kyodo News.
The head of the National Security and Defense Council commented on strengthening ties between Russia and China.
Danilov believes Moscow "has lost its independence and is now forced to rely on such countries as China, North Korea and Iran."
At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council rejected the possibility of a ceasefire mediated by China.
"There are no negotiations as long as Russia continues to occupy (Ukrainian) territory, including Crimea," Danilov added.
In addition, the National Security and Defense Council secretary called the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin a "terrorist." He added, "A modern Hitler named Putin killed more than 500 of our children."
It should be noted that the participants of the EU-US summit held in Washington called on China to use its influence on the Russian Federation to stop its aggression against Ukraine and enter into direct contact with the Ukrainian authorities to support a long and stable post-war peace.

The Chinese government officially declares it allegedly takes a neutral position regarding the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine. Earlier, Beijing was also suspected of supplying weapons to Russia. However, China denies this information.
At the same time, the Pentagon recently released a report that proves that Russia is massively purchasing drones, small arms, and defense equipment from China.
China also does not provide military aid to Ukraine and calls the Russian invasion a "conflict."
However, Beijing declared its desire to be a peacemaker and presented its "peace plan." Putin liked the plan, but it was criticized in Ukraine, the EU, and the USA.
