Russia transferred approximately five thousand new reservists to the temporarily occupied Mariupol district of the Donetsk region, particularly Mariupol itself.

The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, Petro Andriushchenko, reported this.

The arrival of newly formed or newly recruited Russian units was recorded. Two cannons are depicted on their chevrons.

"According to the sources, even the uniform is in the state of "never been washed." In general, we are talking about the number of up to 5 thousand," Andriushchenko said.

The adviser to the mayor of Mariupol noted that Ukraine recorded the last such introduction of new reserves in April 2023.

"At the same time, the increased movement of air defense systems in and around the city already without observing global security measures. Along the coast from the village of Melekino in the direction of Berdiansk, we are recording additional deployment of communication systems," he added.

For reference:

It should be noted that the Russian occupiers began the construction of a railway connection with Mariupol, Volnovakha, and Donetsk.

Also, the CNS stated that the occupiers started to create a "branch" of the Black Sea Fleet in Mariupol.

In turn, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksandr Pavliuk, said that the heroic defense of Mariupol saved the entire south of Ukraine from being captured by the Russian occupation forces.
