Solutions to win: Ukrainian brand sells traditional embroidered cloth to raise funds for sappers
The Ukrainian national clothing brand Etnodim has created unique embroidered rushnyk (Ukraine's traditional cloth) to support the Come Back Alive fundraiser for sappers.
What is the problem?
Ukrainian sapper groups are the first to enter the liberated territories. Only they can ensure people will come back to their homes. During the offensive, they join before the assault brigades to clear the way for them.
Equipment for sapper teams is a key to the successful completion of combat missions and their safety.
What is the solution?
The clothing brand Etnodim and the Come Back Alive Foundation presented ten traditional embroidered rushnyk pieces. This joint Independence Day charity project is aimed at calling for Ukrainian heroes to return home. The fundraiser will cover the needs of two sapper groups worth over $60,000.
By supporting the initiative, one gets the opportunity to win a rushnyk.
The cloth piece bears words of the Ukrainian folk song "A viburnum blossomed near the fence," which tells the story of farewell with the closest ones who joined the war with the hope of seeing them again.
How does it work?
To participate in the fundraiser, one has to make a minimum donation of $5. There is no limit to the number of contributions, but it increases the chance of winning.
The first five towels will be sent to those who made the largest donation. The other five will be drawn among all participants.
To promote the fundraiser, the brand recorded a video of a song performed by Svitlana Polishchuk, the mother of Kateryna with the call sign "Birdie," known as a military paramedic during the Azovstal plant defense. Svitlana recently sent her son to the war as well.
