Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky spoke on Russian attack, calling for an end to Russian terror and emphasised that it would be held accountable for all crimes.

We must stop the Russian terror. Everyone who fights for the freedom of Ukraine saves lives. Everyone in the world who helps Ukraine with us will defeat terrorists. Russia will be responsible for everything that has been done in this terrible war,  the President said.

As of 9.20 p.m., the Russian attack killed five civilians and injured 18, according to Ukraine's Internal Ministry.

The second missile killed the deputy head of Ukraine's Emergency Service in the Donetsk region.  Another four rescuers, eight police officers, and three civilians were injured.

Russian troops previously shelled Pokrovsk in June 2023, injuring at least four civilians and causing damage to civilian infrastructure.
