USAID pledges up to ₴18 mln to boost Ukrainian agribusiness

The USAID AGRO program plans to provide up to UAH 18 million for innovative solutions for Ukrainian agricultural enterprises.

This was announced on the program's Facebook page.

What is the problem?

Many of Ukraine's agricultural areas are mined, under occupation, or in a war zone, but farmers are doing everything possible to enrich the country.

As Rubryka wrote, since the beginning of the full-scale aggression of the Russian Federation, according to the calculations of the Ukrainian Grain Association, the occupying forces have taken about 4 million tons of grain from Ukraine.

What is the solution?

Within the program's framework, the organizers plan to provide financial support to Ukrainian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in implementing and using innovative solutions that will improve their productivity and efficiency.

Representatives of companies seeking to expand and popularize their innovative products and services to increase the productivity and efficiency of agri-food MSMEs can participate in the program.

How does it work?

USAID AGRO will provide co-financing to Ukrainian non-state economic entities (excluding individual entrepreneurs) that:

  • have experience in providing service services for MSMEs and relevant qualifications;
  • develop and document the procedures for providing such services before the start of the project implementation;
  • will demonstrate their leadership and ability to implement modern innovative solutions to improve the activities of MSMEs.

The AGRO project plans to provide up to 18,300,000 hryvnias to two sub-grants.
