On the night of April 4, the russian army struck Odesa and the region in Ukraine's south with Iranian-made attack drones of the Shahed-136/131 type. The Air Force managed to destroy 14 drones.

Rubryka reports, referring to the Facebook page of the head of the Odesa District Military Administration, Yurii Kruk, and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram messaging app.

At first, the head of the district reported that the russian forces struck the city of Odesa and the Odesa district with attack UAVs.

"According to the results of the work by the air defense units, there is a downing. Once again, we stress that not all events can be commented on or exposed to the public in wartime," he added, asking people to refrain from commenting on specific events that appear on social media.

"Combat operations are ongoing, and a second drone launch is still possible. So, I'm asking the residents of the Odesa region not to ignore air raid warnings and to be in shelters!" Kruk emphasized.

Later, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported they destroyed 14 Shahed-136/131 attack drones, which the russian army used to attack from the south direction.

"In total, up to 17 launches of attack UAVs were recorded, probably from the area of the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov.

"14 Shaheds were destroyed by the forces and means of anti-aircraft defense of the Southern Air Command," the airmen reported.

13 drones were eliminated in the sky of Odesa, one — over the neighboring Mykolaiv region. Fortunately, according to preliminary information, there are no civilian deaths.

Later, the South Operational Command reported that due to the drone attack, one of the enterprises of the Odesa region was struck and caught fire. It has already been extinguished.
