Ukraine's Old Lion Publishing House awarded Europe's best children’s publisher

At the 60th book fair in Bologna, Ukraine's Old Lion Publishing House was recognized as the best European publisher of children's literature.

The Bologna International Fair is considered the most prestigious event for publishers and illustrators. This year, more than 1,400 publishing houses are presenting themselves at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, which takes place from March 6-9.
"It's like an Oscar, but in the world of children's books, it's like a Nobel Prize, but for publishers. This is an incredible achievement, an achievement that we've been working towards for the last ten years," Stary Lev Publishing House commented.
Last year, due to the beginning of russia's full-scale war, Ukraine was represented by an empty stand. This year, there is a Ukrainian stand and an exhibition of Ukrainian illustrators at the fair in Bologna.

The winners in the nomination, in which the Lviv publishing house won, in other regions were:
- Africa – Trinta zero Nove Mozambique (Africa),
- Wonder House Books, India (Asia),
- Editorial Amanuta, Chile (Central and South America),
- Canadian La courte échelle (North America),
- Australian Magabala Books (Oceania).
