President Volodymyr Zelensky has not yet seen the official documents regarding the so-called Chinese "peace plan" and is counting on China's support of the Ukrainian peace formula.

He stated this during a joint press conference with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

"The Minister of Foreign Affairs told me that there was an informal communication, a dialogue with a colleague from China, and he said that they (China – ed.) have an idea for a corresponding document or resolution. It seems to me that our document and our peace formula, which we proposed and which was supported by a large number of states… we are already expecting that they will support our initiatives on the 23rd (February – ed.) when there will be a meeting of the UN, a vote on the corresponding resolution. I think it is important to have one position. However, I haven't seen any official document (from the Chinese side – ed.)," Zelensky said.

At the same time, the President stressed that Ukraine is interested in all European countries, states of the whole world, including African states, India, and China, "to be involved in ending this war" to support "a just peace formula."

For reference:

On February 19, Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba met with China's top diplomat Wang Yi within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the chief diplomat of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi, shared with him the key elements of China's "peace plan," but Kyiv is still waiting for the text of this peace plan.
