The US president is currently in Kyiv, Rubryka reports.

The Rubryka photographer took an exclusive photo when Joe Biden left St. Michael's Cathedral to the air raid sounds.

The US leader arrived in Kyiv on the 9th anniversary of commemorating the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, the Maidan protesters who died in clashes with police.

Earlier, Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that a visit from one of Ukraine's leading Western partners is expected in Kyiv.

On the morning of February 20 in Kyiv, the streets in the city center, near the US embassy, and the roads from the embassy to the central railway station were blocked. Such large-scale security measures provoked rumors about the visit of one of the important foreign guests. At the same time, it became known that the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba, did not go to the meeting in Brussels, where he was supposed to be on Monday morning.

Peremohy Avenue and Lesia Ukrainka Boulevard were closed in Kyiv. Eyewitnesses posted a video showing how a motorcade, the basis of which was made up of American SUVs, drove along this route.

"Joseph Biden, welcome to Kyiv! Your visit is an extremely important show of support for all Ukrainians," Zelensky confirmed the visit, reporting on his Telegram channel.

It should be noted that neither Kyiv nor Washington announced Biden's arrival, which was completely understandable from the point of view of security measures during the war. According to the official itinerary, Biden was to arrive in Warsaw on the morning of February 20.
