Ukraine's President met with US representative at UN

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with the US representative to the UN, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, ensuring accountability for war crimes and atrocities against the Ukrainian people.

This is stated in the statement of the spokesman of the US mission to the UN, Nate Evans, Ukrinform reports.

"Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. Representative to the United Nations, met with Ukrainian President Zelensky and members of his leadership team today in Kyiv to discuss the unwavering U.S. commitment to the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine. She reiterated that the United States is steadfast in its support for Ukraine and is prepared to stand with Ukraine as long as it takes," the spokesman said.

According to him, Ambassador Thomas Greenfield and President Zelensky discussed international efforts to minimize the impact of russia's aggression on global food security, including support and expansion of the Black Sea Grain Initiative through the mediation of the UN, as well as ensuring accountability for war crimes and atrocities committed against the Ukrainian people.

She promised to continue working at the UN to strengthen international support for Ukraine's sovereignty and to call on member states to protect international law and the UN Charter.
