Ukraine’s Air Force destroys 13 suicide drones during second air raid alert

In the afternoon of October 10, 2022, as the second air raid alert was ringing across Ukraine, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 13 more Shahed-136 suicide drones.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.

"The second 'massive' air raid alert was announced in the afternoon of October 10, mostly due to the Iranian-manufactured Shahed-136 suicide drones, attacking Kyiv and northern Ukraine from Russia's Kursk region and Belarus. Nine Shahed-136 drones were destroyed by the anti-aircraft defense units of the Center Air Force Command," the report states.

According to the data from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, such suicide drones were also used to attack eastern Ukraine. In particular, four Shahed-136 drones were shot down by the air defense missile units of the East Air Force Command.

A reminder that nine of 12 suicide drones were destroyed by Ukraine's anti-aircraft defense units during the air raid alert in the morning of October 10, 2022.
