The occupiers in the Kherson region call the deputies of the local regional council and offer to cooperate

The deputy of the Kherson regional council Serhii Khlan stated it on Facebook, Rubryka reports.

According to him, the invaders planned to hold a so-called "referendum" on the establishment of the "Kherson People's Republic."

"A referendum on the establishment of the Kherson People's Republic is being prepared in the Kherson region.

The occupiers are calling the deputies of the Kherson Regional Council to ask if we are ready to cooperate with them.

I flatly refused. I address all deputies of the Kherson regional council.

Dear colleagues, I am sure that you understand the consequences of your decision.

The creation of the Kherson People's Republic will turn our region into a hopeless hole without life and a future.

Don't give them a vote! Do not give them any opportunity to legitimize the People's Republic," the statement said.

According to the deputy, later the whole state will look at such deputies and there can be no excuses for cooperation with the occupiers:

"Enter the history of Ukraine not as traitors that no one needs, but really as citizens whose names will be remembered by future generations."
