OFFICIALLY! The evacuation of civilians begins in Mariupol

According to the Coordination Center headed by the head of the Donetsk Regional Civil-Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko, a silence regime will be established today, March 5, from 9:00 to 16:00

The Mariupol city council states it, Rubryka reports.

The evacuation of civilians begins at 11:00.

The route Mariupol – Mykilske – Rozivka – Polohy – Orikhiv – Zaporizhzhia was chosen as a humanitarian "green" corridor.

Evacuation of the population will proceed from three locations by municipal buses:

– sports complex "Illichivets" (Nakhimova Ave., 53)

– Drama Theater (Theater Square, 1)

– Kalmiy District Administration – (193 Metalurhiv Ave.)

Also, following the route of the humanitarian corridor in the quiet period (from 9:00 to 16:00), people can leave the city by personal transport.

A huge request to all drivers leaving the city: please facilitate the evacuation of civilians as much as possible – take people with you, fill your vehicles as much as possible.

It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to deviate from the route of the humanitarian corridor.

There will be several stages of evacuation in a few days so that everyone can leave.

"Dear Mariupol residents, the evacuation of civilians in the city, is starting today. This is a difficult decision, but, as I have always said, Mariupol is not about the streets and houses.

Mariupol is its inhabitants; it is all of us. And our main task has always been and remains to protect people.

In conditions when our hometown is constantly under relentless fire from the occupiers, there is no other solution than to allow the residents, meaning us, to safely leave Mariupol," said Mayor Vadym Boychenko.
