Ukraine invited to an urgent NATO meeting
At the urgent meeting, Ukraine wants to receive fundamentally new air defense systems from NATO countries
According to the EP, this was stated by Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba on the 1 + 1 TV channel.
The Minister said that Ukraine had been invited to take part in a NATO ministerial meeting on March 4 on the threats posed by Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
"I will meet in it by video link," the minister said.
This means that Hungary, which has long blocked Ukraine's participation in NATO summits, has this time agreed to lift the blockade.
Dmytro Kuleba stressed that he would ask the allies to provide Ukraine with the latest air defense systems capable of repelling missiles and other air attacks by the aggressor.
The supply of Stinger and Strela anti-aircraft missile systems is not known to solve this problem, especially with regard to missile defense.
"We need to talk not only about closing the skies but also about systematic and serious support for Ukraine's air defense, ie the provision of serious heavy air weapons. we are actively working," the minister said.
