"Let's Plant a Forest together": 7 hectares of forests were planted in Bukovyna in a few days
Since the beginning of the all-Ukrainian initiative, "Let's Plant a Forest Together," 7 hectares of new forests have been planted in the Chernivtsi region.
The press service of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration announced this, Rubryka reports.
"The all-Ukrainian environmental initiative, 'Let's Plant a Forest Together' started in Bukovyna on October 1. In a few days we managed to plant 21,000 coniferous seedlings and 26.9 thousand deciduous seedlings, which is 7 hectares of new forests," the statement said.
According to Vasyl Honchar, the head of the Chernivtsi Regional Department of Forestry and Hunting, the works were performed in the Serhii Forestry of the Putyla Forestry State Enterprise, the Berehomet Forestry of the Berehomet Forestry State Enterprise, and the Carpathian State Special Forestry.
"Taking advantage of the pleasant weather, since the beginning of the all-Ukrainian initiative, new forests have been planted on an area of 2.8 hectares in the two forestries of Chernivtsi Forestry State Enterprise. Employees of Kuchurivske and Turiatske forestries planted almost 25,000 seedlings," the official said.
The regional state administration noted that the "Let's Plant a Forest Together" initiative will last until November 30. Therefore, everyone is invited to join it.
