Markarova will hold a meeting at US State Department after meeting between Biden and Putin

Ukrainian Ambassador to Washington Oksana Markarova will hold a meeting at the US State Department on Wednesday, on the day of the summit of Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin.

This is evidenced by the schedule on the website of the State Department, the UP reports.

Markarova will meet with Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip Reeker. It is noted that the meeting will be held behind closed doors.

The meeting is scheduled for 19:00 Washington time (2 o'clock on Thursday night in Kyiv), i.e. it will take place after the end of the Biden-Putin summit.

The summit of the leaders of the United States and Russia will begin on Wednesday at 14:00 (Kyiv time) and will last 4-5 hours.

Earlier, Biden explained that he decided not to hold a joint press conference with Putin in Geneva, because he doesn't want the details of the leaders' public speech to be discussed instead of the results of the meeting.
