Butkevych's companies donated over 26 thousand food packages to socially disadvantaged people in Zhytomyr region
The Perzhanska Ore Company and ATB corporation of the well-known Ukrainian entrepreneur Hennadiy Butkevych provided food packages for the most vulnerable residents of the Zhytomyr region in the COVID-19 epidemic.
The ATB corporation donated 24 thousand free grocery packages to Zhytomyr residents and the Perzhanska Ore Company provided over 2 thousand sets.
They delivered food products to lonely elderly people of 80 years old and more, low-income families, people with disabilities, and other socially disadvantaged categories throughout the Zhytomyr region.
Social services' territorial centers for the population in communities carried out the logistics of delivering packages directly to people. Care recipients had to be wards of social services. Distributing targeted aid continued for almost the entire of April. For the ATB corporation, it was part of a national program of providing food to the most vulnerable Ukrainians.
The Perzhanska Ore Company provided assistance to meet the needs of the Zhytomyr region fully. As reported, the company responded to the local authorities' request. Community social services also carried out the distribution. Over 2 thousand food packages were distributed in 28 united territorial communities of the Zhytomyr region.
The grocery sets included a "shopping basket" of essentials: butter, several types of grains, pasta, tea, sugar, salt, cookies, and more.
The company stated that at the moment Hennadiy Butkevich has already bought almost 20 million hryvnias of medical aid for the Zhytomyr region. Thus, BGV Group, including Perzhanska Ore Company, has purchased and sent over protection for doctors, disinfectants, medicines, multifunctional beds, equipment to medical institutions in the region.
Also, Butkevych's company helped launch the production of protective suits by a local garment factory in Novohrad-Volynskyi, placing large orders for doctors in the Zhytomyr region.
To recap, the ATB corporation has delivered a system for PCR diagnostics for coronavirus to Zhytomyr.
