Sources of funding: how do non-profit organizations receive funds for their activities?
The work of non-profit organizations is extremely important for society because they are the ones who implement social projects and conduct information campaigns to solve problems in the areas where their activities are concentrated. However, the functioning of non-profit organizations depends significantly on external sources of funding, as their primary goal is social change, not profit. The vast majority of the charity's expenditures are aimed at developing the structure, so they need to develop strategies to attract funding from various sources that allow them to survive in the long run. What are the main ways of funding and donations for charities?
fundraising and individual donations
Fundraising campaigns play a very important role in the functioning of non-profit organizations, as they usually become one of the primary sources of their income. Such campaigns are held in various formats, such as via information stands, social media campaigns, or partnerships. Individual donors can make one-time or regular donations in several ways: through online services, the organization's website, or offline events. Moreover, it was estimated that of all donations made to nonprofits, 71% came from individuals.
