The "Venice" Beach in the Hydropark in Kyiv has a distinctive sign, which, according to Yulia Markhel, coordinator of the All-Ukrainian "Clean beaches together!" project and the president of the All-Ukrainian "Let's do it Ukraine" youth movement, makes it one of the most popular places for beach holidays among tourists coming to Ukraine.

This hallmark is the Blue Flag, an honorary international title, an award that has been awarded since 1987 to beaches and marinas that meet all 32 criteria for environmental education, water quality, safety, and services.

Beaches with a blue flag should be, first, safe, have a first-aid post, lifeguard towers; be environmentally-friendly: a separate waste collection is encouraged, the quality and purity of the sand, the availability of drinking water, telephone, beach inclusivity, and most importantly, the quality of coastal waters… In 2017, three beaches in Kyiv received the Blue Flag: Children's Beach, "Zolotoi," and Pushcha-Voditsa. In 2018, these beaches received this award again. Also, four more beaches: "Venice", "Molodizhnyi," "Galera", and "Raduga," received a certificate.
