Ukrainian manufacturer Wild Hornets ["Dyki Shershni" in Ukrainian – ed.], which manufactures combat FPV drones, has introduced a new drone, "Pereverten," which can accelerate to 200 kilometers per hour.
Wild Hornets reported this.
As noted, Ukrainian engineers created this drone to destroy enemy air targets. Wild Hornets emphasize that currently "Pereverten" already has "many downed targets" on its account.
The video released shows how the new UAV attacks the Russian drones Lancet and Zala.
Technical characteristics of the drone:
- maximum speed: up to 200 kilometers per hour;
- maximum operating altitude: five kilometers;
- climb rate: a kilometer in 23 seconds.
According to the manufacturers, the "Pereverten" is considered the "younger brother" of the high-speed interceptor STING, which possesses significantly greater capabilities. The Wild Hornets group developed this drone.
For reference:
As Rubryka previously reported, Ukrainian developers have created a new drone, Sting. It can shoot down Iranian-Russian Shahed 131/136 strike drones.
Sting should become a cheaper replacement for anti-aircraft missiles, which sometimes must be spent to intercept the Shahed UAVs. The interceptor is controlled from a first-person view, like classic FPV drones.
This drone will be controlled through virtual reality glasses, following the principle of an FPV drone.
Wild Hornets, known for assembling FPV drones for the Ukrainian military at no cost, also produce flight controller modules for drones. They have announced the commencement of production for a Wally drone equipped with night vision sensors.
It is worth adding that the Ministry of Defense codified and approved Ukrainian-made NORD unmanned aerial systems for use in units of Ukraine's armed forces.
