Ukraine's intelligence eliminates Russian occupiers, equipment, and fortifications in successful Black Sea operation on Tendra Spit
On August 6, the active operations unit "Artan" and the Maritime Center of Ukraine's armed forces carried out a mission in the northern region of the Black Sea, successfully eliminating enemy forces, their equipment, and fortifications.
Ukraine's intelligence reports this.
"At night, an amphibious group of special forces landed on the Tendra Spit and destroyed enemy armored vehicles, particularly MT-LB, the enemy's EW complex, and the fortifications of the Russians. During the battle, the Russian invaders suffered losses among personnel – the exact number is being clarified," the department said.
The scouts also emphasized that the fighters completed the task, including the secret part, and left without casualties.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, this is not the initial successful operation of its special forces on the Russian-occupied Tendra Spit.
"Relevant actions are only part of the large-scale plan of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine, the implementation of which is ongoing," the intelligence concluded.
It should be noted that the Tendra Spit is a narrow spit island about 65 km long and up to 1.8 km wide, located in the northern part of the Black Sea, near the coast of the Kherson region.
Ukrainian defenders courageously hold their positions on the left bank of the Kherson region and gradually and methodically carry out measures to strengthen and expand the bridgehead.
For reference:
On the night of January 31 to February 1, Ukrainian scouts successfully destroyed the Russian "Ivanovets" missile boat of the Black Sea Fleet. According to Ukraine's intelligence, the "Ivanovets" was considered a notable ship within the Russian fleet, with only three in existence. It was estimated that up to 40 Russian sailors were onboard.
Furthermore, on February 14, Ukraine's intelligence and armed forces destroyed the Russian amphibious assault ship "Cesar Kunikov" in the waters near the temporarily occupied Crimea. According to reports, the vessel was taken down near Alupka, near the Crimean coast.
On the night of March 4–5, 2024, Ukraine's intelligence task force "Group 13" launched an attack on the Russian Federation's Black Sea Fleet patrol ship "Sergey Kotov".
Furthermore, last July, the soldiers of Tymur's special unit regained control of Ukraine's oil and gas production platform. They also participated in Crimea's "Awakening of the Force" operation.
