Czechia increases its financial contribution to its artillery initiative for Ukraine

The Czech government approved its next contribution to the initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine from third countries.

This announcement was confirmed by Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, České noviny reports.

He did not name the amount of the contribution, but said that it is extremely important for Ukraine to know that "within weeks or months" it will receive additional ammunition and thus plan and adapt its tactics on the battlefield.

20 countries have joined the initiative, while Poland even doubled its contribution to the joint purchase.

The Czech Foreign Ministry also reported today there is no limit to the amount of artillery ammunition that can be transferred to Ukraine.
