Ukrainian forces deny Russian strike on Odesa was followed by Zelensky's visit

Russian attack on Odesa is not related to the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with the Greek PM, says military spokesman Natalia Humeniuk.

Humeniuk linked the attack to its withdrawal from the UN-backed grain deal, which has affected the safety of Ukraine's southern ports.

"What is happening is that Russia is a terrorist, and it obviously continues to attack port infrastructure. Yes, there was a missile strike on Odesa, probably with ballistic weapons, hitting one of the buildings in the port infrastructure. But this has nothing to do with a specific visit. It is connected with terror, which the enemy is quite methodically conducting."

Greek media reported that the Russian attack was allegedly aimed at President Zelensky's vehicle, which was 150 meters away from the delegation.

Zelensky himself, commenting on the attack, said that he had seen and heard the Russian attack.

Five people were killed in the shelling of Odesa's port infrastructure, and the number of wounded is being clarified.
