The Nordic states express their eagerness to join agreements on security commitments to Ukraine as soon as possible, Danish head of the government Mette Fredriksen says during the Munich Security Conference.

Denmark has prepared a new package of weapons to be transferred to Ukraine and remains one of the most important suppliers of weapons to Kyiv's forces.

"I don't think any of our meetings have been held without reports of new supplies… And we need to understand your needs."

Denmark is also one of the states that first announced its intention to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets.

Frederiksen said that she expects the approval of agreements on security commitments between Ukraine and the "Nordic countries."

The G7 countries agreed to provide Ukraine with bilateral security guarantees at the NATO summit in Vilnius. More than 20 countries joined this initiative.

The UK was the first country to sign the final agreement.

On February 16, Ukraine signed a similar agreement on security cooperation with Germany.

On that day, President Volodymyr Zelensky and French leader Emmanuel Macron signed a bilateral agreement on security guarantees for Ukraine, which will be valid for 10 years.
