Ukraine will receive 100 Trinity drones in various configurations from the German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems.

The publication Deaidua reports this.

What is the problem?

In the war against Russia, drones of different types and levels of expertise play a crucial role.

The international community is joining forces to support Ukraine in its fight against invaders, recognizing the urgent need for thousands of drones to equip Ukraine's armed forces and effectively combat Russian aggression.

What is the solution?

The German drone manufacturer Quantum-Systems will present Ukraine with 100 Trinity drones in various configurations.

How does it work?

The drone transfer will occur within the framework of the contract signed in September 2023 between Quantum-Systems CEO Florian Seibel and Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko.

The company cooperates very closely with Ukraine, and in addition to the 100 Trinity drones that will be donated to Ukraine, it also supplies hundreds of Vector UAVs on behalf of the German government.

In November 2023, company representatives announced they would begin training Ukrainian drone operators in January 2024.

They should learn the basics of deploying and operating Trinity drones.

Ukraine will receive three options, including the Trinity Pro, a mapping drone with vertical takeoff and landing capabilities.

Features of Trinity Pro:

  • the maximum time Trinity Pro stays in the air is 90 minutes,
  • flight range 5-7.5 km,
  • the maximum take-off weight is 5.75 kg.

It is not known whether the drones manufactured by Quantum-Systems will be used on the front line or for other combat missions.

However, it should be noted that this decision primarily depends on the Kyiv City Council, which will receive these drones.

For reference:

As Rubryka previously reported, Sweden and Great Britain joined the Drone Coalition for Ukraine, bringing the number of participating countries to four.

In particular, Swedish Defense Minister Paul Johnson announced this decision during the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine meeting on January 23. Ukraine and Latvia created a coalition of drones. The decision was made during the visit of Latvian Defense Minister Andris Spruds to Kyiv.

According to the Latvian minister, this initiative will help the Ukrainian military in the war, where drones have become essential to combat operations.

What is known about assistance from Quantum-Systems?

It should be noted that in January last year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ordered 105 Vector reconnaissance drones from the German company Quantum-Systems GmbH.

It was later revealed that the Ministry of Defense's Main Directorate of Intelligence would receive an additional 105 reconnaissance drones, known as the Vector, from the German company Quantum-Systems GmbH.

In May, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine ordered 300 additional medium-range reconnaissance drones of the Vector type for the Ukrainian army from the German company Quantum-Systems GmbH.

It was also reported that the German company Quantum Systems will transfer 100 tactical drones of the new generation to the capital, which have already been tested in Ukraine, after which Kyiv will send the equipment to our military at the front.

In addition, the German technology company Quantum Systems opened service training, support, and logistics centers in Ukraine.
