Bundestag delegation pays visit to Irpin
On January 21, a delegation of the German parliament – the Bundestag – visited Irpin in the Kyiv region.
Oleksandr Markushyn, the mayor of Irpin, announced this on Facebook.
"Today, my first deputy, Andriy Kravchuk, showed the destroyed Irpin to representatives of the German Bundestag – deputies from various factions, heads and employees of parliamentarians' offices. Those who influence political decisions in the leading state of Europe," Markushyn said.

According to him, the whole of Ukraine is currently waiting for a decision on the supply of long-range Taurus missiles.
"Unfortunately, a significant part of the parliament is in no hurry to vote for the transfer of missiles to Ukraine – this week, they failed the corresponding bill," the mayor noted.
Markushyn emphasized:
"I am convinced that anyone who personally witnesses what Russian missiles and projectiles have done to Irpin and other regions will never stop the transfer of weapons to Ukraine for defense."

According to him, the number of visits by foreign delegations should increase to reduce such situations and delays.
"The people who decide the fate of aid for Ukraine should see the consequences of Russian aggression with their own eyes. Thank you to our German guests for such an important visit!" Markushyn added.
