The Ukrainian forces have received a robotic platform called AGEMA from the arms company "Ukrainian Armor" for testing on the front lines.

Acting Chief Designer of the company, Bohdan Petriv, told Defense Express that the AGEMA platform was developed by the producer Milanion from the United Arab Emirates, and "Ukrainian Armor" is the supplier that incorporates its own modifications into these platforms.

The military will evaluate how AGEMA performs under various conditions on the front lines.

After the testing phase, "Ukrainian Armor" will decide whether to modify this platform in Ukraine or request the manufacturer to make the necessary adjustments.

The AGEMA platform has the capability to mount various types of weapons, but Ukrainian forces are currently testing it without weaponry.

Background

The AGEMA platform weighs 602 kilograms, with a power unit consisting of a 40-horsepower internal combustion engine.

The platform can carry up to 622 kilograms of cargo on land, 330 kilograms on water, or tow a load of up to 544 kilograms. It can achieve speeds of up to 29 km/h on land and 5 km/h on water.

AGEMA 8×8 is designed for various missions, including logistical support, reconnaissance, evacuating casualties from the battlefield, launching UAVs, countering enemy drones, providing cellular communication, and performing other humanitarian functions.

The multifunctional robotic platform AGEMA was demonstrated to President Volodymyr Zelensky in October 2021 on the occasion of Ukraine's Defenders' Day.

As reported earlier, Ukraine plans to significantly increase the production of various types of weapons next year, focusing on missiles and ammunition for air defense systems.

It was also reported that a Ukrainian defense-industrial complex company developed a modernized version of the P-18 radar station.
