Reuters: US Secretary of State to announce new $1 bln aid package for Ukraine during Kyiv visit

The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, arrived in Ukraine for a two-day visit.

Reuters reports, referring to the State Department spokesperson at the briefing, that he will likely announce new assistance worth more than $1 billion for our country during his visit.

According to a high-ranking official, Blinken will stay overnight in Ukraine for the first time since the Russian aggression. Most of all, he will likely announce a new package of American aid.

As Rubryka reported, on September 6, United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on an official visit.

CNN reported, citing a senior official of the State Department, that during the visit, Blinken will announce more than $1 billion in new funding to Ukraine.

During the visit to Kyiv, the US Secretary of State will meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba. Blinken last visited Ukraine in September 2022. At that time, the trip of the Secretary of State was also not announced.
