The BGV Foundation acted as the general partner of sports competitions for veterans

On August 6, Zhytomyr hosted the second stage of the «Strong of Ukraine» sports competition as part of the first all-Ukrainian tour of competitions for combat participants, veterans, and their family members.

The BGV Charity Fund acted as the general partner of the competition, in which more than 100 athletes took part, participating in the organization and holding of the event together with the Strongman Federation of Ukraine.

«Helping the military is one of the priority areas of our foundation's work. And such events are extremely important, because they show that our defenders can count on support not only at the front, but also beyond it», — said Polina Aldoshyna, director of the BGV Charity Fund.

During the day, participants competed in rowing on a simulator, bench press and aerobikes. The main judge of the sports competition was Vasyl Virastiuk, world strongman champion, honorary president of the Strongman Federation of Ukraine.

«Why are we doing this? Because physical culture and sports are perhaps the best tool for the psychological rehabilitation of wounded veterans and combat participants. It self-organizes, it motivates», — explained Vasyl Virastiuk.
