Zelensky arrives in Türkiye to discuss upcoming NATO summit and peace formula for Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed his visit to Türkiye on Friday for talks with Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Ukrainian leader posted this statement on his Telegram.

Finishing a busy day in Türkiye. Negotiations with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Coordination of positions on the peace formula, the NATO summit, security guarantees and the grain initiative. Restoration of Ukraine, defense contracts between our companies, Zelensky wrote.

Media reported that Zelenskyy would visit Türkiye on the eve of the NATO summit in Vilnius, after which the Turkish leader may hold talks with Russia's Vladimir Putin.

Over the past few days, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been making working visits to European countries as part of a new tour.

On July 6, the President of Ukraine visited Bulgaria, where he held talks with Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and President Rumen Radev.

In the evening of the same day, he arrived in the Czech Republic. There he met and held a press conference with President Petr Pavel. The parties agreed on boosting Ukraine's defense by bolstering the weapon industry.

Later, the Ukrainian president said that Ukraine and Slovakia had signed a contract for the production of the Zuzana howitzers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head and members of the Slovak parliament have discussed Slovakia's participation in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
