Ukrainian forces eliminate two Russian commanders in Bakhmut over past day

The Russian defense ministry confirmed the death of two commanders in a day on 13-14 May in the Bakhmut direction.

The commander of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade Vyacheslav Makarov, and the deputy commander of the army corps for military-political work Yevgeny Brovko, allegedly died "while repelling attacks."

Propagandists write that Makarov personally led the battle, was seriously wounded during the "repelling of the attack," and died during the evacuation.

Brovko led the occupiers to another site and died, having received multiple shrapnel wounds.

So far, Ukrainian forces have eliminated nearly 199,000 soldiers, including 600 over the past day.

ISW states that Ukrainian troops have recaptured 16,85 sq. kilometers in the Bakhmut direction.
