To fight the Russian army, Ukrainian forces received unprecedented support from the allies. More than 1,500 units of armored vehicles alone were transferred, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says.

More than 98% of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine have already been delivered.

As Stoltenberg emphasized, Ukraine's forces received 230 tanks and other equipment from Western allies.

The General Secretary also assured us that a huge amount of ammunition was transferred to our country.

He said more than nine new Ukrainian armored tank brigades have been trained and equipped thanks to the support of partners.

In general, through the US-led contact group, NATO allies and partners have provided unprecedented assistance to Ukraine. More than 98% of the combat vehicles promised to Ukraine have already been delivered.

This means more than 1,550 armoured vehicles, 230 tanks and other equipment, including large quantities of ammunition.

This will give Ukraine a strong position for further liberation of the occupied territories, Stoltenberg emphasised.

Stoltenberg also noted that the distribution of the burden of war would be an important topic at the upcoming NATO summit in Vilnius. As he emphasized, in the current situation, countries should invest more and better in their defense.

Earlier, General Christopher Cavoli, the Supreme Allied Commander Europe, expressed confidence that Ukraine would receive the promised equipment for the counteroffensive in time.

The NATO Secretary General said that Ukraine is ready to regain more territory as it prepares for an expected counteroffensive against Russian forces.
