During the meeting with the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in Warsaw, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, was awarded the Order of the White Eagle.

Polish leader Andrzej Duda presented Poland's highest award, Rubryka reports.

This order was presented to the Head of Ukraine to deepen relations between friendly neighboring countries.

President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena Zelenska arrived at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw and met there with Poland's President Andrzej Duda and First Lady Agatha Kornhauser-Duda.

The heads of state are expected to have face-to-face talks and negotiations on a broader circle.

At 18.00, based on the results of the talks, the presidents plan to hold a press conference for the mass media.

Earlier, the head of the Bureau of International Policy under the President of Poland, Marcin Przhydacz, said that during the negotiations, the leaders of the states would discuss the entire spectrum of Ukrainian-Polish relations, focusing on issues of security, economic cooperation, and historical issues.

As Rubryka reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyi and his wife are on an official visit to Poland on April 5.

The current visit is the first official visit of the President of Ukraine to Poland after the beginning of russia's full-fledged invasion of Ukraine.

Zelensky and Duda met twice — in December last year and February this year — in Rzeszów during the return of the President of Ukraine via Poland to Ukraine after he visited the USA and European countries. However, these meetings did not have the status of visits.
