War Fragments Museum launched online to tell stories of Ukrainians affected by war

The online project "The War Fragments Museum" was launched in Ukraine.
Rubryka reports, citing the project's website, that the museum tells the stories of Ukrainians affected by the war through art.
What is the problem?
More than a year has passed since the beginning of russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Thousands of houses were destroyed by russian shells and rockets, and tens of thousands of civilians died and were injured. Ukraine needs not only aid from the world in the form of weapons but also humanitarian aid.
What is the solution?
The organizers of the online project "The War Fragments Museum" want to draw attention to the war in Ukraine by creating cubes with war artifacts.

The project was born from the desire to give a voice to the civilians who suffered from the russian invasion.
Each artifact is submerged in epoxy resin and shaped like a cube. The story of this object is added to the artifact.
"Оrdinary household objects that have become silent witnesses of events and stories about which it's impossible to remain silent," the project description says. "One cube. One story. One of the ways to help victims of war."
The project says that each cube is a story of survival that reflects the personal experience of those who suffered from the war.

On the pages of the museum, you can see:
- The wreckage of the destroyed "Mriya" plane from Hostomel, Kyiv region,
- an element of wedding clothes from Vinnytsia, where russian rockets hit the city a day before the ceremony and damaged the house of the newlyweds,
- a piece of a children's toy found at the rocket strike site in Kyiv.

How does it work?
The organizers of the project plan to hold charity auctions to raise funds to help Ukrainians affected by the war.
They say that as part of the work on the project, they organize expeditions to the sites of tragedies in the de-occupied territories, where they collect people's stories and look for artifacts.

Now the museum exists in the format of an online platform. As Platforma reports, it will present 300 artifacts that will be auctioned off. All collected funds will be donated to support three charitable foundations:
- SupportAzov, patronage service of the Azov Regiment;
- AzovStal Families, the support fund for the families of the fallen defenders of Mariupol;
- the Voices of Children foundation that provides psychological assistance and rehabilitation to children.
We will remind you that the Kyiv Museum will sell a dozen paintings at an auction to raise money for drones for the Ukrainian armed forces.
