Ukrainian nuclear plant power supply restored after russian missile attack
Experts of the Ukrainian power company Ukrenergo resumed the power supply of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), interrupted by russian missile attacks on March 9.
"The ZNPP switches from diesel generators to receiving energy for its own needs from the United energy system of Ukraine," it is stated in the company's report." says Ukrainian energy distributor Ukrenergo.
The ZNPP was completely cut off from the power grid due to a Russian missile attack which was launched on 8 March at night, threatening an accident with radioactive consequences for the entire world.
Ukraine's nuclear power operator Energoatom said the "last power line between the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP and the Ukrainian power system was cut off as a result of rocket attacks." The company said it was the sixth time the sprawling facility had been cut off from the nation's electricity grid since russian troops captured it last year.
