Ukraine will receive $2 million from Sweden to strengthen nuclear security

To strengthen nuclear safety and power supply in Ukraine, the Swedish government allocates almost 2 million dollars to finance the work of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Rubryka writes about this with reference to the press service of the Swedish government.

"Strengthening the important work of the IAEA to support and improve the safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants is an urgent matter," said Minister of International Development and Foreign Trade Johan Forssell.

The government notes that increased safety at nuclear power plants and around them will have a positive effect on the electricity supply in Ukraine. The smallest number of power outages will mean that the Ukrainian people will be better able to survive such a harsh winter.

Reference

We would like to remind you that permanent monitoring missions made up of IAEA experts have started work at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

The IAEA intends to place its inspectors at all Ukrainian nuclear power plants during the visit of the head of the agency, Raphael Grossi, to Ukraine.
