Ukrainian, russian, Turkish and UN delegations to discuss unblocking grain in Istanbul

Military delegations from Turkey, Russia, and Ukraine with UN representatives will gather on Wednesday in Istanbul to discuss the unblocking of Ukrainian grain exports.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said this on Tuesday, the Turkish state agency Anadolu writes.

Akar said a delegation from the Turkish Defense Ministry had previously visited moscow and Kyiv to discuss the problem, which has already led to a global food crisis.

He added that the meetings gave positive results.

The quadrilateral meeting will be held in Istanbul on July 13.

On July 5, Erdogan said that in the coming days, he would "strengthen negotiations" on unblocking the grain export from Ukraine by sea and expected progress "within ten days."

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, warned against hopes for a quick agreement on humanitarian corridors for grain. Kuleba said that the negotiations are focused on which routes traffic can take and how to secure vessels.
