President of European Council arrived in Kyiv on a working visit

European Council President Charles Michel arrived in Kyiv on Wednesday (April 20th)

Rubryka reports, citing the Twitter account of the President of the European Council.

"In Kyiv today. In the heart of a free and democratic Europe," Michel wrote.

He accompanied the post with a photo taken on the platform of the Ukrainian railway.

He is met by representatives of the Ukrainian authorities and the EU representative in Ukraine, Matti Maasikas.

As reported by Rubryka, on April 8, the capital was visited by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.

She arrived in Kyiv as part of a delegation involving EU High Representative of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger, and several MEPs.

On April 9, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson was in Kyiv.

He announced new financial and military assistance to Ukraine.

On the same day, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer arrived in Kyiv.

He announced a new package of sanctions against russia.

On April 13, the Presidents of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, Andrzej Duda, Gitanas Nauseda, Egils Levits, and Alar Karis arrived on an official visit to Kyiv.
