"I'll help my country more and better": Oleksandr Usyk decided to fight Anthony Joshua

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk has stated that he will fight against the British Anthony Joshua because in this way he will help our country more than in the defense

Usyk said this in his Instagram video.

"I decided to start preparations for the rematch with Anthony Joshua. This way I will help my country more and better than I will stand in the territorial defense and run with a machine gun in Kyiv. A lot of my close friends called me and supported me. Goodness, happiness, joy, and peace to you. Everything will be Ukraine," Oleksandr Usyk said.

Usyk defeated Joshua in London on September 25, 2021, and won the WBO (World Boxing Organization), WBA (World Boxing Association), and IBF (International Boxing Federation) World Heavyweight Championships.

The contract for the first match provided for a rematch.

Usyk had the legal right to leave Ukraine. He has three minor children. At the beginning of the war, the boxer joined the territorial defense.
