Buy flowers and support Ukrainian women. Businesswoman sells off flowers which should be sold over Ukraine before spring

Lviv entrepreneur Khrystyna Didukh arranged a "Flowers for Ukraine" sell-out. The campaign goal is to support women in Ukrainian Military Forces, doctors, rescuers, volunteers, and temporarily relocated people, who are forced to escape from their homes. One more aim was to sell out several thousands of flowers, which Khrystyna purchased just before the war began.

"On the 23rd of February I bought a big batch of flowers from Poland, and one more shipment was on its way from the Netherlands to Lviv. On the morning of the 24th, I realized that it was not a good time for flowers, but I couldn't return them. So, I went to Estonia. Some time ago I set up an e-residency there (so-called European "permit" for business) and I had a bank account. But I had neither partners nor an apartment or office. I had to arrange everything really fast, just like that," Khrytyna says.

Khrystyna managed to agree with the Polish vendor on partial delivery, thus she would have time to sell flowers off. In Tallinn, the businesswoman opened a pop-up stall, and she provides a car delivery as well. However, having received assistance from Estonians, Khrystyna also wanted to do some good to people who are fighting in different ways on the front line for Ukraine's victory. During two nights the Flowers For Ukraine project and website appeared.

"Pending" bouquet in wartime is as much needed by volunteers and refugees as coffee, hugs or hot soup. At such times the bouquet is not simply flowers, it helps to remember that the remnants of our world do not fall apart completely, that light is still there," Khrystyna Didukh adds.

It's very simple to make an order: anyone can buy bouquets for 30, 50, or 70 euros on the Flowers For Ukraine"  website. While ordering, the customer can choose the addressee, a refugee, a volunteer, a rescuer, or a doctor. After payment, the flowers will be delivered to mentioned people in Lviv or Tallinn. Take-away from the shop in Estonia is available as well.

"Foreign payments became possible through a Transferwise account and Estonian e-Residency. If I started gathering all the documents now, I could simply be left without flowers and money. Yet, as we were already a European company, it saved us. Well, the legend of our company sounds like 'when intentions are crystal clear, an arrow pierces even a stone.' We managed to break through stones more than once. We hope it will work again," said the founder of Flowers for Ukraine.

Part of the profit left after pay off to flower vendors will be transferred to charity. Currently, Khrystyna Didukh supports several pet-protecting organizations in Lviv, she also helps to find materials for bulletproof vests.
