"We're fulfilling Taras Shevchenko's dream": Zelenskyy's address
We persevered and inspired the entire world with our determination. There is no corner of the earth where they don't know with what heroism the Ukrainian people defend their own land.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The main theses of the President's address:
– The occupation contingent has brought to our territory almost everyone who was gathered to attack Ukraine. But the scale of our answer is the highest.
– We are fulfilling the dream of Taras Shevchenko, whose birthday is today. There is no place on Earth where they don't know about our heroism.
– Ukrainian defenders replenished our stock of equipment thanks to trophies. We will beat the enemy with its own weapon besides ours.
– More and more Russian soldiers and commanders are asking themselves, why they were sent to our land. We also ask this question and we have only one word to answer: death.
– If the sky is not closed, our partners will also be responsible for this catastrophe.
– 1,600 students and more than 3,000 locals have already been evacuated from Sumy.
– Another 18,000 people were evacuated from the Kyiv region
– There are signals that some Ukrainian politicians are looking for benefits and some ways to Russia. The answer to this will be as it should be during martial law.
